SODO Health & Performance is a small medical clinic. We are looking for an energetic, reliable, outgoing front desk person who can adapt to changing tasks. A successful candidate can efficiently handle multiple things at once while maintaining a smile, is a quick learner and can work independently.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
– Greeting patients in person or on the telephone.
– Ensure all necessary paperwork/documents are completed, signed and entered.
– Collecting payment for services provided (including co-pays, accounts balances, etc.).
– Scheduling appointments (through use of clinical software).
– Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording and updating personal/financial information.
– Insurance verification (eligibility, benefits and preauthorization).
– Complete records requests.
– Protect Patients rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information.
– Help keep office clean with small house keeping duties and trash disposal.
– Contributes to team success by open lines of communication and willingness to take on new tasks as needed.
Skills/Qualifications:
– Strong customer service skills in person and over the phone.
– Ability to multi-task and coordinate for group effects.
– Professional demeanor.
– Detail oriented and organized.
– Punctual and reliable.
– Motivated worker with excellent time management skills.
– Basic computer proficiency including MS Word & Excel.
– MacPractice software knowledge a plus, but not a requirement.
