We are recent transplants to the area (just moved from the East Coast) and my husband is an amazing landscaper/hardscaper. He has owned and run his own business for the past 15 years on the East Coast and I am wondering if people have any advise on where would be the best place for him to advertise/get the word out?! Any West Seattle publications?! Thanks!

This blog has the best word-of-mouth advertising in the city. You’ll need to become a sponsor, as “work wanted” posts are not allowed. Money well spent, as it will also help make you part of the community. There is a small paper called the “West Seattle Herald”, but I really don’t know how many people refer to it for landscaping services. You’ll find the West Seattle Blog is the best source for everything West Seattle, including news.

Thanks, Anonyme. To the OP, the “Advertise” tab atop every page has contact information. – Tracy (editor)

Does your husband have a web site or contact info? I’m currently looking for someone to start work immediately at my place…. both landscape and hardscape. Basically ripping out my entire yard and starting over :)

Feel free to give him a call. John Sears 978 973 5434. He does really amazing work – is a super hard worker and would love the business. Thanks so much!

You really should consider advertising here on the WSB. I don’t know their pricing but I hear it is very reasonable and, of course, you get great visibility, not only on the advertiser scroll on the right but also on a front page welcome.

He has submitted his paperwork to get a state business license and already has his federal tax ID so feel free to give him a call for any projects – Thank you all for the advise and possible business!!

I have tried to contact the WSB about advertising but for some reason have not heard back?! I guess I will wait it out. Thanks again!!

I second the advertising on WSB. I only choose vendors who advertise here or are mentioned in the forums. Good luck!

I left a message with him this morning, we have a project that we are looking to have done soon. I would suggest that he put his name and business on the voice-mail as it currently is just the standard one with no information. Hope to hear back from him today!
