Lost: 1 robot hat

So my 3 y.o. daughter was a robot for halloween. Yesterday she saw me packing up the costumes and begged to wear hers again. When I went to help her put it on the hat was missing – I totally assumed it was in the box that made up the robot body. We’ve searched our house high and low for that hat in the last 24 hours. We are all a little distraught as the hat part of her costume was a special gift from my sister. (and sooooo cool)

Here’s where all of you reading this come in. As you can tell from my avatar we started out with the hat when we went trick-or-treating. I cannot specifically recollect coming home with the hat. She took the hat off after the first house and I know I put in the wagon with our youngest trick-or-treater. It is very possible the wagon rider threw it from the wagon without us realizing it. I had my hands full that night with three kids under the age of 4 one of which was in a very cumbersome robot costume – it would have been easy to sneak a hat toss past me.

Is there anyone who came home from All Hallows Eve with a really cool robot hat that they found on the street? My kids are so young that we only did 5 houses on our block before heading home. I plan to ask all the neighbors today if they’ve seen it too.

This is a long shot I know but stranger things have been reunited.
