JoBParticipantWe just received confirmation that we won’t be staying in our current rental past the end of september, so we are actively looking for a rental… and we might be willing to move as early as the first week in september.
We need 2+ bedrooms.. and a securely fenced yard for our dogs. And we also need to be close to a bus line.
We would prefer 2 bathrooms.. but we can live with one. We don’t want to pay more than 2 thousand… and don’t really want to pay that if we don’t have to:)
and would really love to have a sunny location to move all my potted herbs and veggies to… otherwise we will be adopting out potted plants:(
we want to stay in West Seattle if we can.. so please keep an eye out for us for a rental…
I check housing maps every day and am checking several other rental outlets.. it’s those homes with signs posted in the window that i really need help finding.
thanks… joanne , dale, yuki and mochi

IrukandjiParticipantCome see 3755 SW Grayson (runs parallel to Admiral one block north). The house will likely be up for rent soon. If you like it, repost and I’ll put you in touch with owners!

JoBParticipantthere are a lot of great rentals in west seattle right now.. and several that accept dogs…
still looking tho…

JoBParticipantIrukandji…
thanks so much for the referral… and you got it spot on.. but i think someone else already rented the house. it doesn’t look as though we will be neighbors after all:(
so.. We are still looking…. and i would appreciate everyone keeping their eyes open for me.
i thought we had found a wonderful little house down by LaRustica, but the owner fell back in love with the house while getting it ready to rent and will move back in. I am happy for her.. but sorry for us…
i have faith we will find someplace here that we can happily call home…

IrukandjiParticipantWe’ll keep looking!

beachdrivegirlParticipantI forgot the phone number. But there was a nice house I drove by the other day. off of SW Lander St. If you go down Admiral take a right @ SW LAnder St. Then At the bottom take a right and their is a for rent sign. Looked like a decent house with a decent yard. Not sure of the details though.

JanSParticipantBDG…you’re talking SW Lander down towards the beach as opposed to SW Lander up by Hiawatha Playfield….right?
August 4, 2008 at 1:42 am #632771
beachdrivegirlParticipantYup.It is literally one block from the beach if i remember right up 56th..
August 4, 2008 at 6:22 am #632772
JoBParticipantI’ll check it out…
the house i was interested in by LaRustica may be available again.. and i just looked at David’s green townhome tonight… it may be worth dealing with 3 flights of stairs…
house hunting is hard work. good thing i have the forum to help me deal with the stress.

andreaParticipantJoanne, there is a house on 40th and Genesee (4403 40th) that I run by that has just put a ‘For Rent’ notice out in front…it has a nice front yard that I can tell with great landscaping, but that is all I noted from the street. There was a phone number posted as well…I have it if you aren’t able to do a drive by…hope this is something helpful :)

rustyMemberHi Joanne,
We are renting our 3/BD 1.5 bath in Fauntley Hills. It’s 1 block from the Fauntleroy Center. Dogs are fine :) and it has a view.
Feel free to call me if you would like to see it.

JoBParticipantbeachdrivegirl.. the house on Lander doesn’t allow dogs. but what a great location
Andrea.. ditto.. great little house but they won’t allow dogs…
thanks for keeping your eyes open for me.. i am still looking… and not just for me any more. i have offered to be eyes and ears for a couple of other west seattle neighbors looking for a new home:)
perhaps i should start a new business… rental screening… i bet there’s a market for it:)

andreaParticipantJo, are you still looking for a place to rent? I spotted a place on my run yesterday, though like the others it may not be pet friendly :(.
It was on the corner of Graham and 49th at 6310 49th Ave. Its a Cayce & Gain listing, but the house looked decent….
August 12, 2008 at 5:04 am #632777
JoBParticipantAndrea.. i am still looking.. i will go drive by and give them a call. they have another listing just up the street from me that i would also like to see.
i have found a place with 2 bedrooms.. but would be happier with three .. and just that half bath more:)

celeste17ParticipantJo the other day I was driving down by Lincoln Park and saw a house for rent. Turn down the street that goes down to Beach Drive (just past the gas station) and it should be about a block down on your right. I saw it coming up from Beach drive and that is all I know.
There is a house at the end of my street that is for sale but it has been for sale for a while. Maybe the owner would let you rent to own? I know when I was growing up that one of the tenants had a Doberman so I think the backyard is fenced. The basement is finished and I think set up as a mother-in-law. I will keep looking though
