    Hi all –

I’m seeking resources for a houseless person in our community who needs a place to shower (at minimum), or shelter. I’ve looked at a few resources and am finding solutions that are mostly downtown/Pioneer Square, and I suspect that’s not tenable. Any ideas about services in WS?

    Thank you!

Hi there. As we’ve reported in stories before, there are no shelters in WS – and our one tiny-house village is generally full. Some local churches have had low-key small shelter programs but none that you can contact directly to my knowledge. American Legion Post 160 has run an unofficial emergency shelter in times of bad weather. Re: hygiene, the Delridge Community Center has long been open for showering – here are the hours/days:

Did you call 211? That’s the main shelter referral hotline as I understand it.
