The other day my husband and I were walking through on the ridge (water view) of Lincoln park with our little nugget and saw three people in the open space below the baseball fields throwing knives and trying to get them to stick to the trees.
It was so bizarre I almost couldn’t understand what they were doing. By the time it sunk in I was past them and didn’t want to go back with the little guy sleeping and approach the three of them.
Three adults (late 20s) hanging out with a guitar and some knives just having a nice evening damaging the park trees. I kept shaking my head about this lack of judgement in using these trees as target practice in a park where there are tons of other people walking by.
I should have said something. Still now, two days later I can’t think of how to say anything without name calling.
