LucieMemberMy husband and I are expecting our first baby around October 2nd, and I am planning to return to work part-time when our son is 4 months old. It’s overwhelming researching childcare options here in West Seattle (we would like to stay with childcare here in west seattle) and would really love to hear any recommendations that you may have regarding current possible daycare centers that accept part-time (3 days per week). I’ve found that to be the greatest limiting factor. We are on a wait-list since February at Intergenerational Learning Childcare at Providence St. Vincent which can be a while until an opening comes up, and were also recommended belle mente by good neighbors of ours who have their children there but are no longer accepting part-time as of this Fall. Also considering nanny-share with another family. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

wsyardsaleMemberHi Lucie,
I would highly recommend Adna’s Homedaycare (located in West Seattle). Adna is by far the most amazing child care provider I’ve ever met. My son was under her care since he was 4 months old until age 3, when it was time to move on to pre-school. She will not only take excellent care of your baby but she’ll also love her/him as if she/he was her own. I would give her a call as she recently has had openings when 2 children moved on to pre-school at the same time. She’s excellent and her house is perfect for child care. Ample basement w/ natural light and spacious, leveled back yard. She also accepts children on a part-time basis. Good luck in your search. I know how stressful it can be. Adna’s #: 206-764-9527

She has been in the business for a long time, has a couple amazing kids of her own ( which I always think is a good sign!) and just has a natural ability that puts her in a class of her own. She is always out with the kids to the park, museums, classes etc. You will be so impressed. jessemarsters@yahoo.com
