    — then please take a moment and watch this:

    http://www.wimp.com/leapingcat/

Please don’t laugh at it, because that would mean you don’t really love cats.

This is related to West Seattle because . . .

        um . . .

I’m not laughing at it, I’m laughing with it. Over and over and over.

And for those who love dogs: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=glii-kazad8

I think Leaping Cat and Cooper the Corgi should collaborate.

What they don’t show a moment later is the cat acting like it meant to do that.

I love cats too, but that ambitious puddy tat might get some pretty good pointers from these guys:

I understand the Corgi’s reluctance to jump.

There are few things in this world that I would leap into the frigid waters of a mountain lake to aquire.

A bikini-clad girl is one of them.

A slobber-soaked tennis ball is not.

    What????

you don’t recognize ambition when you see it?

bet that cat achieved it’s goal on the next try..

    or the one after :)

Was he jumping to reach where his snacks were stored? Who knows. There’s no logic to what cats do.

[Sigh] Originally I had wanted to keep this thread separate from the dog thread, but I can see it’s no use.

You know, I really feel sorry for cats; they get so little attention in cyberspace. Which is ironic when you consider that cats practically invented the Internet, along with you-know-who.

No, seriously. Google “cat.” There’s maybe a handful of small pictures up there, along with a short Wikipedia article. That’s about it.

Now Google “Al Gore” and you’ll find a cyber ton of crap about him. And I’m like: Dude! He’s not even president any more, all right?!

Along with Al Gore, I see that dogs are also trying to muscle in on the action. That’s bad enough. But did you know that dogs have recently joined forces with babies?

What?!?! Why would babies try to take over the Internet?

    —Um, cuz they’re like . . . EVIL? (Duh!)

But don’t take my word for it. Just look at this:

    http://www.wimp.com/laughingbaby/

Obviously, a cute, bubble-biting doggie and a sinister baby genius are a lethal combination. But wait! There may still be hope. After viewing this footage, I contacted a priest friend of mine and asked him to perform an Internet exorcism on this little tyke before it was too late.

    And here is the result:

See? So if it weren’t for the Church of the Internet (by which of course I mean The One True Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church of the Internet) who knows what might have happened?

Kind of scary to think about, isn’t it?

Cats always seem to strive for higher ground.
