Hum is back

This has happened multiple times lately. I’m getting woken up just past 3am and hearing the reverberating hum outside. I just let the dogs out for a bit and it’s definitely in the air. Anyone else experiencing this? BTW I’m at the south end in Ocean View/Arbor Heights.

I’ve been hearing it in Arbor Heights for a while now. I actually heard it last night between 8:30-9:00 pm, before going to bed. Never heard it that early (or loudly) before. It sounded like someone left a power sander turned on.

Thought I heard something the other night, and thought no way that stupid Hum is back and turned up the TV instead of investigating. Then I went upstairs and realized I had left the bathroom fan on and brushed it off. Maybe I really did hear the Hum from High Point? Just the right weather conditions maybe? Hope not.

The “Hum” that was fixed was a beat frequency–two compressors turning at nearly the same speed create a several seconds long”wha.wa.wa.a.a.a.wa.wha” cycling noise. This was tied to loading or offloading of a cement plant ship I seem to recall. Was the noise cycling like that?
