Home Security Systems?

Any suggestions for a home security company?

And opinions on monitoring? I’ve noticed that many smaller companies offer non-monitoring packages. I guess one would rely on the big noise (and maybe neighbors calling the cops) to scare intruders away? Perhaps that’s enough?

I think I would prefer someone local rather than the big companies. Thanks!

(There were also some suggestions in a blog post about a break-in awhile back but thought I’d also ask here.)
