tapalsParticipantOur family owned and operated Great Harvest Bread Co. in West Seattle is hiring a BAKER. We are a scratch made bakery that stone grinds our wholegrain wheat daily. We offer freshly made bread, sweets, made to order sandwiches, soups, espresso and coffee drinks daily. We also offer a selection of Gluten Free products. We are looking for an energetic person who wants to help us bake phenomenal bread and sweets, provide top-notch customer service, and keep the bakery spotlessly clean.
Our sweets and bread production people love to bake from scratch, and take pride in their bread, scones, cinnamon rolls and other baked goods. Can you hit the ground running between 3:30 am and 4:00 a.m.? Work quickly and efficiently? Be on your feet all day and lift up to 60 lbs? Clean up after yourself, multi-task, and plan ahead? Then consider putting a smile on our customers’ faces by baking our phenomenal products. We are filling a full time baking position at this time. A minimum of 1 year baking experience is preferred…if you have a true passion to switch careers to a baker…we can chat. Training shifts would be Tuesday-Saturday. After training is completed…shifts would be Thursday-Monday.

Applicants must:
1. Exhibit ENERGY sufficient to maintain a continuous high-level of productivity and enthusiasm while on duty and possesses the stamina to work the early-morning shift regularly…weekend and holiday availability required (we are only closed on Easter Day, Thanksgiving Day & Christmas Day)
2. Exhibit STRESS TOLERANCE sufficient to perform duties with a positive attitude, even when faced with difficult or unusual pressures or circumstances.
3. Exhibit ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLS sufficient to ensure the preparation and baking of our products are completed with accuracy and according to time schedules, without slowing down the production flow.
4. Exhibit INITIATIVE sufficient to perform assigned duties without regular reminders; and sufficient to be actively engaged in improving the atmosphere of the bakery.
5. Have a HAPPY, FUN, POSITIVE attitude.
6. Be RESPONSIBLE and ON TIME and have a positive work history. Minimum of 1 year work commitment is required.
7. Have the LOVE and PASSION for bread, baking and making customer’s happy. We want to hire someone that wants this position as their CAREER and just a job! -
