AimParticipantWhat ever happened to the grey kitty? Did she adopt you? Did you find her “parents?” Did she get re-homed?

A 50-50 bar, or creamsicle, was traditionally vanilla ice cream encased in an orange popsicle.

The case of the gray cat remains unresolved. But thanks for asking pigeonmom.
It had gotten to the point where she had become a nuisance. Meowing loudly outside of my door at all hours. Just would not leave until I went out to play with her. And when I did she was all over me. Just starved for attention. Then I had to go to South Florida for a week and she had the saddest little face as I pulled away to the airport. I felt a bit guilty thinking she was back here meowing at my door as I was thousands of miles away.
Enter furryfaces. In a remarkably generous gesture she came over to my place while I was away to see if she could take the cat to be scanned for a chip. I think she also made arrangements for potential foster care too. But the night she came by it was dark and raining so the cat was not around. She left food for it but one of my neighbors (who had grown weary of the meowing) dumped the food to keep the cat from coming back. I decided just to ask furryfaces to wait until I returned to deal with this. Literally the minute I arrived home the cat ran up to me. But since I’ve been back she no longer meows at my door and I haven’t seen her around as much.
Just last night I spoke to two of my neighbors who had both wondered who the cat belonged to as it had been spending a lot of time at their doors too. And they had fed it as I had. So now I’m a bit confused. I don’t know if it just belongs to someone in the neighborhood who lets it roam at all hours. Or if it truly might be abandoned. The neighbors are going to help me ask around. It would nice to resolve this soon as the weather is beginning to turn. I’ve also heard stories of this little cat getting into standoffs with other neighborhood cats and getting too close to (thankfully leashed) dogs that would gladly take her out if they could.

furryfacesParticipantHi CJ! Thanks again for caring. We are still here and happy to help with the grey kitty. Just start feeding her on a regular basis and once she starts showing up everyday, then we can get her to the Vet for a chip scan. Generally, an ‘owned’ cat doesn’t spend that much time at others’ homes, begging for meals.
If she is stray and not altered, we don’t want her getting pregnant and having her babies outside. Let me know if you need our contact info.
