I’m scrubbing down my siding in preparation for painting. The rain is actually helping – a natural rinse! You can almost hear the plants sighing with pleasure as their toes are tickled by the raindrops…

I made a quick trip out just after 10:00 this morning, to pick up a few things at Lee’s Produce.

It was a bit heavier than a sprinkle on the way there, then had stopped by the time I headed back Home.

Rather pleasant, actually, for a guy who although he’s lived in the Puget Sound area for all of his nearly 56 years, is still afraid he’ll melt in the rain….. ;-)

i am sorely tempted to take a flashlight out there now :)

after mid-week, I understand that we may bounce back into the low 70’s, and that there is at least one more 80 degree day maybe. Today smelled so good, left my windows open, let that good smell in. While I don’t want to swelter, I’m not quite ready for full on fall…

I noticed two weekends ago the waning strength of the sunlight, and the changing tint of my coral bark maple’s leaves. I do appreciate the rain but the Great Dark is coming. I hope we squeak out a few more weeks of nice early fall weather with sun before it comes.
