We always use Hans VW Repair on 35th near High Point; just north of Walgreens. We’ve never been unhappy with their work.

Hans VW has worked for my Fahrvegnugen Machine, and I’ve also had some great work by Fine Tuning Performance before I moved to W.Seattle. They are up North- off Aurora.

My husband takes his Biodiesel fueled VW to Hans and has been very happy with him.

    +5 on Hans!

The ’67, 71, and ’77 Type 2’s, plus the ’91 Vanagon all visited Hans at some point, always fixed right and fast the first time.

I actually haven’t had that great of an experience with Hans the couple times I went. I will probably go with Fine Tuning even though it’s a pain to get there.

Since a few of you own VWs, is there any truth in what I’m hearing that VWs are substantially more expensive to repair than other cars? We’re considering one, and I keep hearing this. Obviously all cars need expensive repairs, and what’s “expensive” to one person is not to another, but I thought I’d get some opinions here.

We just took our Eurovan to Hans, and they are great, but unfortunately, what we thought was a simple headlight problem turned into an ABS problem, and the part alone is $1000!!!!!

My sister laughs and says that everytime I take my car in for an oil change, I can never get out for under $1000. And it’s true.

I wish I didn’t love my VW, and am not sure why I do. They always seem to have electrical problems, and they are expensive to fix.

    Good luck w/ your decision.

I have always gone to Hans. He is pretty fair.
