JanS: FYI, the term “down” wasn’t being used as a location but in the street sense slang of “in touch with.”

Christopher…I know…I’m aware of the term…even at 62 :) To me (and this might be the drugs talking – painkillers, folks, painkillers) it just seemed that you were using the term, not because you usually would use it, but, oh, I don’t know, maybe to be a little condescending (not really the term I’m looking for), maybe getting a dig in. It’s not a term that I think I would hear you use on a regular basis, but that you were being sarcastic…that’s it…sarcastic :)

HMCRich…you said “Sadly the DNC and RNC seem to care more about parties and power than people”

Just judging from what is said in these forums, the parties aren’t the only ones talking”more about parties and power” than people. I would love to see a really good political conversation among people on here that never uses the words dems, or repub(g)s, or liberals or conservatives.l We are, first and foremost, humans…people…with differing ideas/views, who may (or may not) have the same objectives. But we have this thing about labelling…and once labelled, all the attributes of that label are readily applied, even though they may not really fit. Read some of the posts in this thread…labels used…and the “person” not taken into account…a shame..
