I agree with those who recommend buying shade-grown, as places like Ladro serve. Plus, Ladro lattes are tasty. And I like Uptown, even though their Junction outpost is ugly. The chocolate chips that you can sprinkle on top of your latte compensate for the nasty decor (it used to be a Skippers, for gawd’s sake!). Finally, Coffee to a Tea is good, but I mainly go there for the incredible cupcakes (much better than another nearby cupcake place, and without the hipper-than-thou attitude).

Picklemom, I completely agree! What is with the terrible attitude at that cupcake place?! Geez! Lighten up people, your life is cupcakes!

I’m thinking that Hotwire is by far the best…coffee, atmosphere and of course the staff all rocks. Plus, they’re blog fanatics

I’m fond of Bird on a Wire — usually excellent coffee. In fact, I think I had the best latte of my life there a few weeks ago. Memorable.

54 posts and only a few Hotwire kuods? Ya’ll gotta give it a shot (pun intended). You don’t know what you’re missing.
