katy, that’s such a sad story. You poor, poor thing. You have my deepest sympathy. :)

And I’ve never heard that about driving.

katydid – I do not know the answer to your question, but I want to wish you a quick recovery!

    Hope you’re feeling better soon!

That’s awful — I’m SO sorry — but it’s also a perfect excuse to get voice activated input software to replace that so old-school typing on a keyboard.

Purple and orange of course — this year, emphasis on the orange (used to be purple–times have changed.) Do plan to come to BPP on the 14th so we can all sign it.

I had the *greatest* purple cast when I had ankle surgery a few years ago — almost hated to lose it. (JanS, I assume we don’t get casts with hip transplants — that would be something like a full body cast, and I wouldn’t much care how cool the colors were.)

Well katydid, you’re going to be in a heckuva fix if it’a your right arm that’s in the sling, and your car has a standard transmission! ;)

    .

Seriously, best of luck on a quick, total, and as painless as possible healing. :)

I don’t know if it’s necessarily illegal (haven’t been able to find anything confirming or denying that online), but I’ve often been told that if you’re in an accident while wearing a cast, you are more likely to be blamed for it because of the cast.
