ws4everMemberAround Arbor Heights about 3:30 today, door to door solicitor giving flyer for “window inspection tomorrow so you won’t have to upgrade your aluminum windows”. Wearing clear plastic insert “badge”. Two robberies in our neighborhood this month. Seemed a bit obvious as a way to get inside someone’s house and see if there was anything worth taking. They’d be so irritated to see the really old TV and lack of portables here! Young black male, very well mannered.

KevinParticipantWe had a similar (perhaps the same one) come around about dinner time in the Arbor Heights area.
My wife answered the door and the young salesman would not take NO for an answer until I came to the door, asked him what company he is with, and he told me he was from Evans Glass.
I told him I had half a notion to call his company regarding how aggressive he was. Surprisingly, he remained polite and even offered an apology after I told him he needs to stop when the customer says NO.

KevinParticipantI contacted Matt Flath, Operations Manager at Evans Glass to voice my concern over the overly aggressive sales person in Arbor Heights on Thursday evening.
Mr. Flath was very courteous, however he wanted to convince me that this encounter was an exception rather than the rule. The only point that we did agree on was that NO does mean NO.
Based upon a VERY superficial search of the net, I come away feeling like all I received was lip service when I suggested that Evans Glass should be less aggressive in their sales tactics.
