kParticipantDoes anyone know of a reputable dog sitter in West Seattle? Preferably someone who might have familiarity with greyhounds and is willing to stay in our home. Our dog is a member of the family and we would like to find someone respects that fact. Thank you in advance for any information you could share.

ALSParticipantNot in West Seattle, but I happen to know a fantastic dog/house sitting service in Burien. I don’t know whether or not they have experiences specifically with Greyhounds, but it can’t hurt to ask. I can’t recommend them highly enough.

thansenMemberWe love Erin Williams. She’s worked with us for several years either on her own or thru another dog service.

flowerpetalMemberAlthough we now do not have greyhounds, we have in the past. I love these special creatures and understand why you would want someone who knows about them. Their needs are different from other dogs and some people do not understand this. Not sure who you adopted yours from, but some of the GH adoption groups trade dog sitting. I know that Greyhound Pets of America does and they have had a representative in West Seattle… if she is still here.

beachdrivegirlParticipantMelanie Cease from Sit Stay N Play does a fantastic job. We were sad to leave her when we moved to Portland recently. Her number is 206-650-5748. She was wonderful to our two babies. :)

richwseattleParticipantMy missus does house-sitting, pet-sitting, and pet-visit care in West Seattle. She has familiarity with a variety of breeds, having worked in animal hospitals for a number of years.
Plus she’s just an “animal person”. We have dogs, cats, a fish, and a tortoise. :-)
Drop her a line at kirsten@auntiekirsten.com.
