This company has pissed me off. Last month I called and inquired about the Bundle plan they were offering. The salesperson on the phone then asked me what my address was to see if I could get their service. I gave it to him. After spending about ten minutes on the phone with him, I told him that I wasn’t ready yet to receive service. He understood and proceeded to give me a confirmation number in what plan we dicussed. No problem. Two days later I received in the mail a bran new modem that I never requested. I called them back and they told me to call UPS and have them send it back. Several days later they send me a bill requesting payment. I called them and they told me not to worry about it. Forward to yesterday, a new bill came in the mail asking for payment request. So my task today after I finish my visit with my Otolaryngologist is to call them back and ask why am I being billed for something I never signed up for. Anyone want to give me a clue how long this will continue? I never remembered Comcast doing this to me. So it has been a month since I talked to the salesperson. They now have actually lost a potential customer. They make you do more work and spend more cell phone time to have to clear your name Unreal! S o what can happen to me if I just ignore a bill for service I never wanted?

Century Link (formerly QWest) has been a pain in my…side for many years. I cringe every time I have to deal with them; they seem to go from bad to worse. Last time I had to renew my service, I was blatantly lied to about needing a new modem to support faster internet service. The modem was rushed to me with a $15 shipping fee the salesman forgot to mention. They must be making big bucks on modems, and the salesmen must be getting some kind of bonus for moving as many of them as possible – even against the customers will! They are scumbags, for sure.

I once spent more than 7 hours on the phone with them trying to resolve a simple issue. I’ve even contacted the attorney general about them in the past, but it did no good. If you call them back, maybe you should tell them you want the recording of the transaction, or else you’ll sue for fraud.

I had terrible customer service experiences with CLink and it was a happy day when I switched to Comcast (who, in reality, aren’t much better). I still have a $10 bill from CLink (I don’t owe it) that I’ve ignored for months. I’m not at all worried.
