hoop, when you’re caught pissing on a tree, be prepared to pony up $27.00 for the fine.

And, ya better not piss off the cops as they are arresting you, lest they bump up the charge.

Although I couldn’t find a reference to it in the SMC, I’ve heard of guys getting charged with indecent exposure for urinating in public, and having to register as a sex offender.

Real pisser, huh?

A little late to the party here, but just have to say that the comment by DBurns is very true. We had pretty spacious restrooms and – in addition to all the situations mentioned by previous posts – that seemed to invite people to come in and literally take sponge baths in the sink! Not to mention the numerous times our paying guests would inform us of someone leaving such a mess that they couldn’t go in until we went in & cleaned up whatever lovely gifts were left for us. We never banned non-customers from using the restrooms, but if someone was in longer than usual there would be a “restroom check” – sometimes interrupting illegal or illicit actions in progress. Finally installed cement board to replace drywall in mens room after fixing holes for the last time… witnessed one person nursing hurt knuckles while exiting and it was priceless. If those walls could talk, the stories they would have!

A guy got arrested in Lincoln Park for indecent exposure. When he went to court, the judge dismissed the charges because they could not get the evidence to stand up in court…

for the record

even though i can’t patronize a business that won’t let me use it’s restroom

i don’t believe businesses should shoulder the burden for public restrooms

any more than i believe they should shoulder the burden for health care insurance

If a place sells food… IMO…. they should be required to have a public restroom. I mean… you should wash your hands before eating. Maybe not a tolet.. but for public health a sink and soap.

Personally, I hope this business does not get named. I think there are ways for Jiggers to share their experience with the business without everyone needing to crucify the people involved and potentially ruin someone’s livelihood. We don’t know the circumstances of any of this. This constant ‘us against them’ attitude and the need to tear people down who don’t behave the way we determine is correct is exhausting.
