I’m looking for an “XTREME” forum that talks about better, more entertaining stuff than cottage cheese. This place is like an Adam Cozen stand-up routine – BO-RING!

You can’t go, we just got acclimated to you and your brand of humor. Really folks, laughter really is the best medicine, and heck, it’s FREE. In this economy, how many of us can pass up FREE medicine!?!

JanSParticipantLaughter is great…humor is great…unless it’s at someone else’s benefit, making fun of someone on here, veiled insults, as it were. Then it’s not so funny. For example: “This place is like an Adam Cozen stand-up routine – BO-RING!” That would be Adam on Alki he’s talking about…and the comment was uncalled for…but heaven forbid we should point that out to the “funny man” who is sooo refreshing.
Now..back to the humor :)

i doubt he meant to slam AdamonAlki.. although i will admit he wasn’t too fond of the cottage cheese ramble AdamonAlki started.
maybe it’s just too tame here without catfights…
or maybe most of what he says is tongue in cheek and would come across a lot better in person.
i suspect the latter.

I don’t have much say in the matter as I requested to have my account deactivated, and obviously that hasn’t occurred yet. I suspect it is pending.
On a side note, I started a workout routine with the medicine ball this evening and holy moley frijole….I literally can’t walk. Apparently all the weight lifting I did last year didn’t work this area of my legs. Yowza! It’s so true what they say about no pain, no gain!

JanSParticipantwell, now, sounds like you need a really good massage….and, I’ll disagree…there CAN be gain with no pain…not everything has to hurt. Weird – they call it a “medicine” ball. Is that like “you’ll take your medicine and enjoy it, dammit”?
Get yourself some epsom salts, put about 2 cups in a very warm bath, pour a tall beer, get in the tub, and relax….

littlebrowndogParticipantWhy doesn’t somebody open up a chat room (not associated with WSB)? Some of these postings are already taking place in near real time; why not have actual live conversations? If it’s an unmoderated chat room then people can follow whatever standards of behavior that they want, and if conversants don’t like it they simply leave the room.

JanSParticipantBDG…two things..one of the points is…there are rules here, and if I have to abide by them, and you have to abide by them, then he does , too. That’s simple math. And, if he wants his account to no longer be active, all he has to do is walk away from the computer….right?Simply don’t come back and post over and over again, after you say you’re outta here….or does that seem too easy?
Now, your last line doesn’t exactly make sense (well, it may to some)…is that what you really wanted to say?

gunnerddogMemberThe hypocricsy on this blog is sometimes mind-boggling. If you don’t like what people are saying and you feel it is to get attention/stir stuff up…don’t comment on them. But all the people here with their superiority complexes about how they are better because they “choose not to comment” or “can’t tell if that’s a compliement or an insult” is ridiculous.
And don’t complain about people “breaking rules” when you are calling them names such as “douche” because that is lame.
Again, we all appreciate what WSB does, but some people need to ditch their faux-indignancy. It’s annoying.

charlabobParticipantBDG, perhaps Jan was trying to save you the embarassment of a typographic non sequiter. Or a lapse in logic. Or a failure to make any sense all. Or maybe it was, indeed, a personal attack that required snark.
Gunner, I did a search for “douche” in the blog and forums and didn’t see it. Nonetheless, I’m confident that whoever you’re talking to or about will continue to do what (s)he wants even though his/her topics don’t please you. That’s how it is in a democracy.
