pigeonmomParticipantWhen I left the house there was a barking dog left in a garage or yard somewhere around SW Webster and 31st and 32nd. 5 hours later, it is still out there barking. It is driving me insane. I’m sure the poor dog is not feeling too sane either.
This is not the first time..
PLEASE get a pet sitter/walker, put the dog in the house.
I can’t take much more of this!!!

miwsParticipantHi pigeonmom.
Ironically, the P-I reran a story on this very subject just this morning, as there had been so many people continuing to ask about it.

rockergirlMemberPigeonmom – we live near you and know of at least one house where a dog barks continuosly all day while owners are gone. They usually leave @ 6:30 am – and in the summer leave the front window open – so we get to wake up to barking dog. Hubby talked to them once about issue, they seemed to be unaware of the issue but coopertive and kept window closed at least for awhile. Might try pinpointing house and either talk to them or leave them a note in there mailbox.

anonymeParticipantIf you aren’t getting any cooperation from the owners, you can file a complaint online. Go to the Seattle.gov website and search for animal control. They have online forms for various pet complaints, including barking, off-leash, and scoop violations. You can submit an anonymous report if you choose. I feel bad for the dog.

JoBParticipantif the dog is friendly..
maybe you can buy it a thundershirt:)
or maybe the owners would try it if you gave it to them.
I would pay much more than $40 for peace and quiet.
