There’s a baby seal down on Alki (at about 55th and Alki). It looks sick or injured. I called the Dept of Wildlife, and someone else called 911 (non-emergency) and they relayed a message to animal control. We waited down there for a couple of hours and nobody showed up.

Anyone know what we can do for the little guy? Or is this a natural selection situation?

    Thanks!

I know there is a group called sealsitters. Other than that it is natural selection. Last time this happened there were no agencies that would come out to help.

Seal Sitters has been tremendously busy this week – they chronicle their adventures at

http://www.blubberblog.org – day before yesterday, they had three pups on three different WS beaches.

Nonprofit and volunteer-powered. I hope you did reach them!
