Afternoon Assistant Preschool Teacher

About us: Clover Preschool is a small home-based preschool in Arbor Heights serving ages 18 months to 6 years.
Job Description: I am looking for an assistant to join me in the afternoon (3:00-5:00). I can also offer an additional 30-60 minutes each day, cleaning and preparing the classroom for the next day and occasional days (when my lead assistant is off). The ideal candidate will have a background in early childhood education or an interest in learning about early childhood education and be able to work collaboratively with me to create a nurturing and engaging learning environment for students.
Responsibilities:
• Communicate effectively with children and parents.
• Maintain a safe and healthy learning environment for children.
• Build strong and trusting relationships with students.
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• DCYF/Portable background check
• Negative TB test, 1st Aid/CPR certification.
• Experience working with young children in a childcare setting is preferred.
• Work independently or collaboratively.
• Fluent in both English and Spanish.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with others.
• Punctual and reliable
• Complete professional development requirements and maintain STARS training.
Salary: $20-22/hour based on experience.
