Police are talking with a person who reported being a victim of a street robbery late tonight at or near California SW and SW Raymond. The initial report was that two Black male juveniles, both in masks and hoodies, held the victim up at gunpoint, stole their phone, and got away in a gray Tesla with no plates.
A Gray Tesla was mentioned in comments in earlier story about the Alki shooting (following a suspected silver Prius). I doubt a coincidence. Be aware of your surroundings, folks. Crime can strike anywhere, and cops are a long way off.
Good to alert and note these details, but also those are pretty much the two most common cars in town.
Was out driving 35th around 11.35. There were a bunch of teenagers gathered at the 7-11 on 35th by the Target. Maybe about 7 were gathered filming the credit card machine at the pump, and several minutes later 3 to 4 more cars of teens joined, maybe 15 to 25 people total. One of the cars was a silver Prius.
Call this info into the SPD, it may be nothing or may be the info they need. 7-11’s should have security camera’s inside and out.
You know, a judge can get the entire location history AND camera footage from that Tesla.
Someday the City of Seattle will admit that a big bite out of crime could be taken by having SPD actually do their job and enforce motor vehicle laws regarding vehicle registrations. Or then again, maybe they won’t.
Every morning this week, traffic officers were staked out somewhere pulling over drivers. For what, they don’t say over the air, but it’ traffic offenses. One officer was at 6th and Spokane (toward east end of WS Bridge) multiple mornings. Another on 35th.
Cars with no plates should have about a thirty minute lifespan if the city government wasn’t so afraid of some sort of “profiling” of people or something.
