In reply to: Off leash dog park

You are correct sir, Alki Beach is now open for all dogs and their owners to enjoy as they wish. The consensus of the vast majority of people in Seattle is that the leash law and banning of dogs in city parks and school grounds is unnecessary and contrary to the will of the people. The laws are soon to be repealed by the City Council but to date they are just too busy and need to address more important issues. Since the sight of four or more unleashed dogs enjoying their exercise is distressing to you, perhaps you should arrange your walk at another location, such as Third Avenue downtown or in cozy Chinatown.

I don’t think replies to posts are obligated to answer questions. I agree my punctuation is not the best. Too many drugs and family difficulties during the years it was taught in school.

I’ll answer. The man called out someone breaking the law. Wish everybody called out law breakers. As far as a dog park. That’s easy. Nobody has lobbied the city to make one. Probably because you’re all too happy to ignore leash/no dogs allowed laws. More fun to break than change, I guess.

As in no cars? No busses? No delivery trucks? No mail trucks? No police cars? No fire trucks/paramedic units/ambulances??

    CarDriver

1280z. I’ll answer. Your first comment about the man reminding you of the law was just that. You were breaking the law by violating leash laws and violating the no pets on school grounds. If you weren’t breaking the law nothing would have been said to you. The 2nd part is pretty obvious. NOBODY has lobbied the city to make an off-leash dog park in Admiral. Probably because you’re all happy to let your pets run anywhere you feel like and aren’t interested in working for a proper area.

Well, I asked two questions in my post, and no one that responded bothered to answer either one. To heartless, “presumably” is your word that sums up your post. You presume a lot, that I was “told off”, “yelling back” and “chewed out”. You were not there, so don’t presume anything. To “CarDriver”, no answers here, only comments about “complaining” as he or she likes to address it, and over punctuated sentences. “aa” writes about complaining as well, no answers, only lack of elementary school level punctuation. “anonyme” has the gall to call me “lazy” when I walk my dog two to four miles per day, in addition to other activities. I’ll measure my “lazy bum” up against this participant’s gluteus maximus any day of the week, and I’m sixty-five years old. “Ignorant”, hardly. Had this been a sixth-grade assignment, all of you would have failed. Only miws and Gina had helpful posts. Gina, you can view a pot-bellied pet on the corner of 49th and Brandon, where he lives with his human companion.

Vanessa, I have posted signs and also posted on internet format’s with no response. Our neighborhood to get into it you come to a “T” and have to turn right or left so everyone who comes in has to see my “who’s cat is this” sign. If I tried to put a collar/note on him he’d take off like a bat outta hell he butts his head on my hand when giving him food but that is about all I can do so I am sure he is homeless :>( we’ll just keep doing as we have been and hopefully he won’t get anymore injuries. The Vet he went to also said he was too feral to do anything with until they sedated him to neuter and they of course scanned for a chip and there wasn’t one.
Thank you for your concerns and ideas!

CLOSING DISCUSSION ITEM NEEDED RECEIVED**THANK YOU TO THOSE WHO OFFERED AND MADE VERY GOOD SUGGESTIONS!***We have been taking care/feeding a cat that was left to fend for himself these past 2 years in our neighborhood and he’s been doing good as expected for a homeless cat up until about week ago, he came to get food one night and had an eye injury we finally got him trapped and took to the Vet where they cleaned eye up, antibiotics and neutered. He’s on his way back tonight and we’d like to have an outdoor house for him to go into if he wants, right now we have one ordered but it won’t be here for a few days. We have a senior cat inside only and this is why we can’t let this one in, anyways I don’t think he’d much enjoy being an inside cat. If anyone has anything that might work and wants to get rid of it please let me know.
