We need a dog wrangler in West Seattle. Put simply, we need a person who will show up for an interview and demonstrate that we can count on them. Our philosophy is that we’ll take care of our employees and we expect them to do a good job in return.

To us, a great candidate is highly motivated with a desire to learn new skills and techniques. They also love dogs and people and are comfortable and confident interacting with both. Keeping our facility clean and our dogs healthy is a top priority so we need your help with that. No previous dog experience is required, but it’s helpful.

To that end, you’ll want to familiarize yourself with the basics of the job:

    – Have good customer service skills
    – Have a positive attitude and *extreme* patience
    – Be willing to get dirty
    – Be willing to learn all proper sanitizing and disinfecting techniques used in our daycare setting
    – Be able to be on your feet for multiple hours, lift up to 50 pounds, and be physically fit enough to stay active in a very high energy environment
    – Be able to follow direction and work as a team, yet also to work independently when needed
    – Pay close attention to detail and be highly organized
    – Have a flexible schedule, early morning, midday and evening shifts are all needed
    – You must be at least 18 years old

We are looking for a part-time employee to work 15 to 20 hours per week. You may also be required to work an occasional overnight shift if the need arises. The position starts at $11.50 per hour plus tips. Wage plus tips will equal a minimum of $14 per hour worked in the pay period – though we usually average more!

PLEASE don’t drop by or call, the dog can get very excited during our busier times!

Email your resume and cover letter to info@gooddog-inc.com explaining why you think you’d be a good fit here at Good Dog. We’ll then start with a phone screen followed by an in-person interview for which you’ll need to show up and be on time.

Please include any other jobs or obligations you may have at the moment, and what (if any) days/shifts you are not available.

Questions and resume submissions should be directed to info@gooddog-inc.com (please no calls or walk-ins, we have a small and busy staff managing a fun group of good dogs!).

@TRex, Peshmerga, et al: Stop blaming the Democrats. They are not in charge.

To say that the issues that are being investigated are politically motivated, especially in light of a few convictions at this point, is preposterous. The GOP howled for blood and impeached Clinton over a blowjob. What is not being investigated, indicted and convicted are not crimes related to a blowjob. These are all issues that revolves around moral character.Trump has demonstrated over and over, for decades, that he’s a pig. He’s crude, overbearing, boorish and generally revolting. He’s refused to call out the racism that was associated with his ascension by condemning the protesters of said racism and has turned up the volume of his xenophobic leanings.

Kavanaugh is just another in a long line of conniving thugs to be nominated for positions of power that Trump has supported. Why won’t the White House allow his records to be reviewed? All other justices had full transparency of their judicial career, but Kavanaugh gets to his something like 93%. This whole things reeks.

As to Rachel Maddow: she’s not a journalist and I’ve never heard her caller herself one. She’s a pundit. Just like all of the wagging jaws on fox.

The type of behavior is important. Drugs, drinking & driving and other behavior, even if they are crimes, do not necessarily demonstrate poor character. But lying, cheating, stealing, or physically assaulting another person does. A person is more likely to pass a character and fitness test (for professional licensing, for example) if they have a felony drug conviction than they are if they got arrested for passing bad checks. Or even cheating on a test. The behavior here is particularly important because it demonstrates that Kavanaugh has no respect for a woman’s right to protect her bodily integrity. That may not be a big deal if he is applying for a job at Amazon, but it terrifying when he is in the position to actually take away that right.

There is no way this woman can prove anything, its her word against his. I find it very hard to believe that she JUST now decided to bring it into the public eye on her own. Pretty sure she was “convinced” to come forward. I would not be surprised if she has been paid off as well. The Democratic party have completely lost their minds since Trump got elected. And in my opinion, the more crazy they get, the more power they are giving Trump and sealing his re-election.
I love how she made this claim and now is calling the shots on when SHE wants to talk. Seems to me she would want this done and over with ASAP but isn’t it funny that she may not talk on Monday after all. Its all a side show people, hell even Hillary is talking about it to the lovely and ever so fair journalist Rachel Maddow. These people make me laugh out loud.

Who I was as a teen, 30 years ago, informs who I am now. There is n sudden tabula rasa at some magical point and if he’d bee prosecuted rather than protected then he’s have a court record, a conviction as a sex offender and ineligible anyway. So, yes, who you are as a teen matters.

If you need another example look at Brock Turner. Raped a passed out girl behind a dumpster and skated. The girl, however, is destroyed. Brock turner has been actively shielded by his parents and his father said that a few minutes of action shouldn’t ruin this promising young man’s life. But no one says what it did to this young woman. What kind of person will Brock Turner be? I guess we’ll know in 30 years but he was called to the carpet, even though the sentence was pathetic and to say it didn’t fit the crime is an understatement.

Being investigated and convicted is a chief difference.

Kavanaugh is dogmatic and it’s visible all over the place. Given that his public court records have been sealed so that only around 7% are able to be reviewed is a sign of more of that shielding. All other court pick have had all of their records available for scrutiny. This fact alone should disqualify him.

The “…thing spinning around” is the calcining kiln. It’s a more modern design than the one that has been idled at Lafarge, on the other side of the river, which is around 600′ long. The cyclones on the end help to distribute the heat (around 1900f) to calcine the raw meal, which enters the furnace on the end next to the preheat tower (west end of the kiln). The product is called clinker, which is a fancy word for chunks of cement. These are cooled on a great conveyor and stored until they need to be ground in a ball mill (a large rotating tube filled with various sizes of steel balls ranging from 1.5″ to around 5″).

    Hi all
Had an incident at our house yesterday in Belvedere and was curious what folks thought of the police response. Had a man trying to get into our house via multiple doors (thankfully all locked), who ended up prowling around and defecating in our yard. We were on hold with 911 for more than 15 minutes before the police arrived, just in time to get him as he was driving off.
Luckily this guy didn’t end up having violence in mind but if he had, fifteen minutes seems like an awfully long time to respond to an active home invasion. It’s not like we were saying “Hey, take your time” – we were frantic and yelling A LOT. The responding officer said they were way down by Barton around Target but I can drive that in 15 minutes – I’d hope they could go a little more quickly.
Am I out of line thinking that? Because if 15 minutes is acceptable I’m going to take more active measures to protect myself.
    Thank
    Cristiano

I’m specifically looking for a well-vetted local business, willing to do some landscape planning, revitalizing, and cleanup. I’m not looking for a landscape design company; many of them just draw up big plans and know very little about actual gardening (the current landscape is a good example of that unfortunate circumstance). try to reinvent the wheel. Ideally, a seasoned gardener who understands native foliage, how plants evolve over time and work well with other plants, and how to create a cohesive landscape by adding or removing plants that exist, including containers/pots, and including knowledge of plants that can handle some salt wind / beach side environment. If you know this business, please recommend! Thank you.

I have never had a conversation with anyone who had their dog in a store and my thought has always been that its more likely that they don’t want to leave their dog outside rather than all these people are going around thinking they have some sort of service dog. In my mind they know its wrong but they love their dog and are out on a walk and needed something. Who would mind their precious pooch? I don’t like it. And I don’t like those people who walk around in stores with a bird on their shoulder! ??
And the dog in the basket of the cart ? Its probably not any worse than the baby with a diaper. It just creeps me out that someone thinks their dog belongs there. Its a dog not a baby!! As a previous dog owner with a very poorly behaved dog, my one piece of advise to anyone who is interested, to have a dog who is ok staying at home, you need to start practicing when they are a puppy. They need to learn its ok when you leave without them. If you wait until they are older you will be screwed. So as hard as it is to leave that cute little puppy at home when you go to the store, you will be so happy for all the years to come. And yes, putting them in a crate so they don’t wreck your house is not traumatic for anyone but you. As I understand it, dogs like the security when they are young.

Same thing Sunday at Trader Joes. This guy brought his dog in, invited anyone around to pet him (which they did), all while declaring he was a “certified therapy dog”. Please. The dog was acting like any other dog in a park – interacting with everyone and everything around it. People are just selfish, disgusting jerks.
