Curiosity question. The large trees on the water side of the sidewalk between the bathhouse and condos. What species are they. How old are they. Were they native growth that didn’t get cut down or were they planted.

Unless building management operates the parking themselves, I’m guessing a private parking contractor does (Diamond?). If I recall correctly, when I left the employ of one of their competitors in 1998, Diamond had already moved on from the barrel to the boot as their on-site immobilization device.

    “Dogs in STORES”
I see you. And I’m repulsed.

Not long ago in Target, I witnessed someone’s bundle of joy take a hot steamy right there on the carpet between boy’s and electronics (it was only a matter of time). The owner stood over ‘exhibit A’ and the offender with what I can only describe as a bemused look and said “he’s so naughty today!Hahaha!” She was twirling around helplessly waiting for someone to come to her aid and make it disappear. Well, at least it wasn’t a ‘sh*t and run’. At least the dog looked a little sheepish and guilty. Can’t say as much for sentient being on the other end of the leash.

And while we’re at it…how about them babies sat on counter tops where food is served? Leaky diapers be damned! (Mama’s tired, whaah, whaah).

R.I.P decorum, good manners…and public health.

    Emotional management skills.

Right now, my students don’t do poorly because they don’t understand chemistry or physics. It’s often not even reading or math.

This could still be homeless folks; there are two people living just on the other side of the fence from Rotary Viewpoint. There’s a woman who’s been there for three years and there’s an absolutely rancid smelling garbage pit next to her camp. I wouldn’t be surprised if the smell wafts up when there’s not as much exhaust/other activity to cover it up early in the morning.

Are others in the office bothered too? I too was bothered when someone in the office did it. We (others were bothered too) found a simple solution in that when they started talking we would say “what was that?” They finally got the hint. While it’s possible there’s a medical condition that causes them to talk out loud, I’m also wondering that with working from home especially if they were alone maybe they were unconsciously thinking they were talking to coworkers not realizing they actually ARE in the office talking to coworkers??

I can recall at least one occasion of a coworker talking to themselves, which was when I was a cashier at White Center McLendon’s.

We had this one employee who did that all the time. His department and its customer service desk were the closest to the cash registers. It didn’t bother me, it was just part of who he was.

I know you don’t want any advice, and I don’t think this is, per se, but my brain can’t help but try to analyze why it bothers you.

I’m not a sports fan, to the point that I’ll mute the TV when the sports report comes up during newscasts, or any sports-related stuff, like reports on specific games. At the very least, I find them boring, but I especially find things like fan noise/screaming/cheering extremely annoying, and the rapid-fire delivery of the sports anchor, and the game’s radio/stadium announcers. All of the “fast pace” stuff triggers something in me as if I should be getting all excited. It’s almost as if someone is telling me “HURRY!!! HURRY!!! HURRY!!!.

So, I don’t think you’re overreacting, it’s just that it’s annoying to you for some reason.
