We have leather (and velvet) couches. We have bedroom sets. We have art and crystal. NO SMOKING/NO PETS!! We have a little bit of everything. Best of all we have it for FREE!!!

On the front lawn at 4827 49th Ave SW – Between Edmunds and Hudson.

All the owners ask is that A) You be respectful and B) If you like the crystal piece(s) you TAKE the box of the piece you like.

We will be removing the remaining items Tomorrow or Tuesday.

HELP YOURSELF! (but really – be respectful)

I don’t know if this has been proposed before: Crossing the street on the corner of Edmunds and California is often frustrating because of the 5 corners. You can wait for one light that gets you through one part and then wait an equally long time to get to the corner you want. One block up we have an all walk light for Alaska and California. Wouldn’t it make sense to have the same design for this corner? If you give pedestrians a chance to walk to the corner they want all at once, I think you’ll give more time for traffic flow. (and by the by, a high school friend once told me she called this system a “scramble light” because you get a green light and scramble to whatever corner you want).

I came across a pair of eyeglasses lying on the roadway in the alley behind Holy Rosary (between California and 42nd Ave SW and between Genesee and Dakota) around 2:30 on Sunday afternoon. I put them onto a neighboring recycling container. I don’t swear they’re still there!

See photo of them in situ here: https://photos.app.goo.gl/Q4iPXxf8ZenCtpG6A

Need assistance with a garage door serive, repair, or installation? I highly recommend calling Gaston at 425-534-9015

Gaston is an independent licensed, bonded, and insured technician.

He just helped me replace a broken spring on my garage. He was prompt, communicative, and did excellent work. I will be using him again in the future to upgrade my motor. Would recommend him to anyone else in West Seattle looking to support an independent trades person (vs contacting a big company where you pay more and workers make less).

Thanks for the reply. Can you tell me a little more about your background in education, experience with tutoring, and if you’ve worked in West Seattle?

That sounds wonderful! Outdoor programs can be such a great way for preschoolers to learn and grow, and I’ve seen how fresh air and nature spark curiosity. It’s a bit like Pedro Vaz Paulo business coaching — the right guidance in the right environment helps people (and kids!) thrive. Lincoln Park and Schmitz Preserve are fantastic spots for nature play in West Seattle.

You could start by checking local real estate listings and reviews in the WS area, or asking friends and neighbors for recommendations. A few agents specialize in that market and have a strong sales record.

    REPOSTING THIS:

Enjoy working in the food industry but tired of working in restaurants?
    Come work at Ritrovo!

We are an award-winning importer and wholesaler of high-end Italian specialty food. We ship all over the US and to Canada.

We are looking for one part-time person, to add to our small team to work in the front office.

We communicate with our distributors, wholesalers, and brokers via phone, email, and even Fax! There are several clerical tasks associated with this position, including maintaining inventory information for the online sales platform FAIRE. The front office also updates and maintains our catalog, sell sheets, and price lists. This job requires polite customer service skills, accurate English language communication skills, attention to detail, and good organizational skills. A culinary background/interest in food is helpful. Knowledge of QuickBooks, Excel, Google Drive, Dropbox, and Outlook a plus.

Some Benefits of Working at Ritrovo

Predictable hours: We operate 9-5, Monday through Friday. This part-time position will likely be 1-5, M-F.

Sampling Allowance: We ask that employees take our products home to test in their own kitchens. This improves employee product knowledge.

You might be the one or know someone else to play the pivotal role in bringing our one-on-one tutoring program to life. Primary responsibilities include a variety of program-related duties, along with support for key operational, administrative and fundraising outreach efforts. We currently operate in 4 SPS schools, including Roxhill and Sanislo.

The role is supported by our highly engaged board of directors and depends on maintaining strong relationships with school administrators, teachers, community partners, and — most importantly — the volunteers who are key to our success.

Looking for someone who loves to run and loves to talk about running. You don’t need anything but a passion for the sport, we will teach you everything else. A retail background would be great, but it isn’t necessary. Your job will be to sell shoes and apparel, stock shelves, keep the store clean, and help customers find the right product. Be able to start and hold a conversation, as that is basic skill for sales. Shy, wall flower types will probably not like the atmosphere, as we require you to start and maintain customer interactions.
We are looking for a full time person 30-40 hours a week, this position will include one weekend day at least. These are long term positions, at least 6 months or longer, as it takes a while to get trained and able to be help customers independently. Pay starts at $20.00 but is negotiable based on experience. We also offer bonuses based on store sales. PTO accumulation starts the day you start. We also have an employee discount, and a separate family discount. Free race entries for all races we sponsor, and it’s a pretty cool atmosphere to work in, as most customers are happy to be here.

Please drop off a resume in person at the store. We do not respond to emailed resumes unless we have directed you to send it.

The interview will be done during a 3 mile run, so if you get called back, be ready to tell us your favorite 3 mile route! Don’t worry about pace, we will keep it slow (11-12 minute miles) so we can chat.

If you have questions, please drop in and ask them.

Have you asked O’Neil? They may have an electrical contractor they work with; they are union so the electrical contractor would be as well.

Good luck! Union shops are going to be a little more money, but better. And no, I am not a union rep, but I work for an HVAC contractor who is. Good luck!
