They don’t want your filthy quarters. They already told you why. Don’t be lazy, educate yourself.

Kbear. I do shop there and I’ve used my card there. My rant is that I was buying a 50CENT item and they refused to accept 2 quarters…Really(I didn’t need change). And i’m ready to be educated about cash. Anybody have a link to a story about someone becoming sick and or hospitalized because they touched cash or coin in a transaction????? And could someone tell me why they(T V) refuse to take cash. I did, and got a “because of covid” response. I asked if someone in the store had gotten it from money and just got a blank stare.

Well, you got lucky they cleaned it. There are germs everywhere, not just on cash. I’ve never been, nor have I ever heard of someone requiring medical attention from handling cash. Also, no worries of card info being stolen. And, final funny story. Sister and brother in law were in Memphis last year. They went out for dinner and when leaving tried to pay by card. There was a problem with the system. The restaurant would not let them, or anyone else leave until they’d paid-with cash.

Actually, I’ve only encountered 1 other business that’s card only. Everywhere else I shop is fine taking cash. But what has the virus got to do with this? Haven’t heard any statements from state, county, city health experts that touching money spreads the virus Would think they would say something if it did. And I would be fine not using if it was bad. Also, must note that machines aren’t perfect. I’ve had machines not work when I was going to pay with a card. So what’s T V going to do if the system is down? Are they going to lock there door’s and not let anybody in until their card reader is working?

As far as the sneaks using the turn lane to bypass traffic, SDOT could install a cement island in the turn lane, if not more than one. That would bring this practice to a halt.

Multiple days of seeing 1 or 2 people sleeping at Totem Pole Park on 35th. Used to be in the grass, but have moved onto the path. Today noticed a tent had been erected. Not sure which task force should be involved here. Just don’t want anyone moving under the tree again.
