Tibbetts United Methodist Church is seeking a Worship Leader to lead our contemporary band and congregation in worship during our Sunday services. Our goal is to foster a dynamic, inclusive worship culture that connects us to God and one another through the gift of music.This role works closely with our Pastor to nurture and organize musical expression that elevates our worship experiences. As the church’s Worship Leader you will engage with the worship coordinator and the other musicians, as well as lead the congregation in worship. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, creative and spiritually grounded. They have experience leading music groups, preferably in a church worship setting. – Proficient in at least one instrument such as Piano, Guitar, etc.
– Proven ability leading and organizing a worship team, including member recruitment and development.
– Familiar with a range of contemporary and traditional Christian worship songs and hymns.
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills with pastors, staff, and other musicians.
– Ability to plan, schedule and lead rehearsals, as well as organize music for services and special events.
– A heart for worship by clearly understanding the role of worship in the church, and is committed to fostering spiritual growth through music ministry.Preferred Qualifications:
– 2+ years experience leading a worship service in a church, musical band setting, or similar.
– Expressive and passionate vocal skills with the ability to adjust vocal style, pitch control and timing.
– Proficient in both Keyboard and Guitar.
– Ability to incorporate various musical styles into worship.
– Basic knowledge of audio/visual equipment and sound systems.Additional Information:
