    Yes please.

Enamor us with your legendary stories of law breaking. And then tell us how law enforcement (kinda perfect descptor ofvthe job) “bullies” you.

By the way “bullying” IS a despicable societal occurrence and you using it to describle lawful enforcement cheapens the word.

Stop breaking the law and stop being “bullied” by the police. It really IS that simple. 1+1=2

For the third year in a row the city council has passed nearly a quarter billion dollars in the budget to provide permanent shelter for homeless people. In the last budget (also about a quarter of billion dollars) approximately 1100 homeless accepted permanent housing. 17% of them left after weeks or a few months at a cost of $60,000 per relocation. Something is wrong with this solution.

    • $355 million for the Seattle Police Department including funds to hire 125 officers in 2022, a more than $7 million decrease from last year and a $9.9 million reduction from Durkan’s proposed budget.

A $194 million investment in affordable housing, including $97 million funded by revenue from the council’s JumpStart payroll tax.

Authorization of up to $100 million in bonds to repair bridges around the city.

Yeah… Youre wrong. People adversly interact with the police when they are engaged in law breaking OR adjacent to law breaking and being problematic.

Don’t want an adverse situation with police? Don’t break the law. Don’t associate with law breakers When questioned BY police, comply. Take notes. Videos. Witness accounts and sue later (if you’re wronged-but most often you’re not).

Realize that cops are people too. They want to hug their families too.

I will never forget how these police were acting way back before they were being investigated and had light shined on them. I realize it has been sometime now and alot of those officers arent there anymore, but it is still the same department and i just dont beleive much can have changed since then

You see, CarDriver Journalisim is not at ALL what it used to be.

Journalists now regurgitate talking points, the going “narrative” and whatever else pushes any given agenda.

Long gone are the days of the press’ cherished history of “accountability” – lest they have their credentials revoked. ¡Que horror!

Journalists these days are fraidy cats toeing the company line – and as we wish for accountability on one hand, we can $&/÷ in the other and see which fills up first.

Why would they want incomplete and/or inaccurate information leaked out? I have an neighbor who’s works for SDOT and he’s not one that I’d consider a reliable source but if he started spouting off it would gain a degree of credence simply because he works for SDOT.

They are trying to control the message the same way that any other agency does and it’s quite reasonable.

Thank you for sharing a worthy vacancy! Is the position still available? Unfortunately, I don’t have the skills of a massage therapist, but my sister is a good specialist who is just looking for a job. When I had problems with my joints, she conducted a therapeutic massage course, and the pain almost disappeared.
In general, I am quite a sick person; there are always some problems. For a while, I even went to respiratory therapy angola to prevent possible tachycardia and neuropathy.
It’s nice to see that you try to make work comfortable nowadays, even for parents! I think this is a big step into the future.

It’s an amateur (“ham”) radio antenna. Most likely this SteppIR model (they have a very distinctive design): https://consumer.steppir.com/shop/horizontal-antennas/4-element-antenna-products/db36-yagi-antenna-80m-6m-package/

As far as “what’s it for?”: All antennas are designed to receive and/or transmit on some range of frequencies. In this case, the antenna is designed to operate on the frequencies the FCC has assigned to the amateur radio service.

A full list of amateur frequencies is here: http://www.arrl.org/frequency-allocations (But that page includes frequencies the pictured antenna does not cover.)
