Hello. I’ve been really trying to set up more play dates for my son, but it’s not been easy. My son has been asking about more play dates and sometimes will say “I wish you were a kid so we could have play dates.” Crushing. We live near Westcress Park and will try our luck on the playground some days. Not many kids his age are there. Anyway, if you’re in the area and have a kiddo in his age myself or wife would love to meet up. I have no idea if this is even allowed here, but I’m trying to be more aggressive in finding him kids his age to hang out with. I grew up in small town Colorado in the 80’s/90’s and we all just walked around outside until we bumped into someone and became friends. Times are not the same so I’m trying this out. Anyway, that got long. Thanks for taking the time.

If the reason for no parking enforcement is one of financial strains..A solution just might be to write more tickets.
If the parkers I see were ticketed just maybe….their attitude would be nudged a bit.
But……Seems the message being put forth is one that says…”don’t worry about it! There is no enforcement! You do you”
Not a bad idea with people that do not live in areas where parking is at a premium.
If the parkers I see where ticketed we might see enforcement rolling around in Humvees.
Well that is my rant..I’m sure it has been posted before.
    Thanks for reading this droll.

I’ve heard similar feedback from others when it comes to the sales experience. It’s definitely worth comparing a few different installers because the quality of the installation can be just as important as the brand itself. Looking at different windows and doors options and getting multiple quotes can help you find a company that fits both your budget and expectations.

We have moved and our new space doesn’t fit a five foot cat tower. It is grey and I am happy to provide a photo of it. Would love to give it to someone instead of the landfill! Pickup in Admiral and I am available to help load it into your car!

If you’re buying in bulk, I’d look at farm-direct wholesale suppliers. They usually have better pricing and more variety than retail florists. A wedding planner I know has ordered from FMI Farms Flower Wholesale for DIY weddings and was really happy with the freshness and quality. It might be worth checking them out for your wedding flowers.

Somewhere in Alki’s parks department, someone looked at a fully plumbed, fully functional public restroom and thought, “You know what this needs? A neighbor.” Enter the Honey Bucket, parked a generous ten yards away like a understudy nobody asked for, ready to be tipped over at the slightest provocation because apparently gravity and drunk beachgoers are undefeated. And just when you’ve settled into your beach chair, digestif in hand, the pump truck rolls up at high noon for its daily house call, filling the salt air with a symphony best described as “diesel meets septic,” serenading everyone within a two-block radius who paid property taxes specifically to avoid this exact soundtrack. It’s less a bathroom upgrade and more a bold civic experiment in seeing exactly how much a beachfront community will tolerate before someone starts a strongly worded……

We are missing a small, navy blue drawstring-style backpack bag with Henley Royal Regatta (HRR) decorations on the outside, white/light colored inside. Last seen at about noon Tuesday (7/21) on bus 50 southbound near Meeples. My daughter was babysitting and couldn’t search for it thoroughly. She caught up with the driver later in Beacon Hill, but her bag was not on the bus.

Hoping someone has found it or maybe it was dropped somewhere? Nothing of real value inside, but the bag means a lot to her. It contained an engraved graduation gift from her brother, some pink dollar store earbuds, water bottles and some other odds and ends.

If you have seen it, please let us know – I would be so grateful to have it returned. Thanks for reading!

    Hi there,
My sister is visiting from Texas and went out to Lincoln Park to look at the wooden troll out there (Monday July 20). She took off her hat and purse to take a picture and walked around before realizing she left it behind.
The bag only contained her wallet. The hat has the White Tree of Gondor from Lord of the Rings, dark blue.
We would mostly want to find the purse itself. It belonged to my grandmother and is one of the only things we have left of her.
I called Coleman Pool but was told nothing was turned in.
Please let me know if it was spotted or found. Thank you.

    Hi all!

After just purchasing our first home, we just wanted to share our experience working with the Scott Monroe & Molly Kemper Real Estate Team.

Scott & Molly represent EVERYTHING you might want in a real estate partnership – they’re both incredibly knowledgeable, responsive, kind, and persistent. My partner and I worked with Scott & Molly to make our very first home purchase. We went into the process super green and in need of a team that would get us up to speed and do a little hand-holding along the way. We learned SO much by working with them. Scott & Molly both bring a valuable set of skills to the table – along with their many years of real estate experience in the Greater Seattle area, they also have backgrounds in construction and architecture which helped us feel secure in our purchase. Each time we went to see a house, we could trust that Scott & Molly could tell us everything we would need to know about the house and what work it might need. We ended up finding a house that we absolutely LOVE and are so grateful to have worked with Scott & Molly to get it done. It also doesn’t hurt that they’re just a fun couple of folks to spend lots of time with as you search for a home! :) I could not recommend them more!
