    Call the Westwood post office and ask to speak to a supervisor. Give them the tracking number and they should be able to tell the location it was delivered to. At least then you can determine if it was misdelivered or not. Good luck!

    We were expecting an Express package that was marked as delivered on Thursday – Oct 18th 9:30a – and we never received it.
    We are hoping it was mis-delivered to maybe the wrong house or the wrong street. I have checked with neighbors and nothing so far.

    It was from the company Frogmouth.

    It was Jerseys for our Roller Derby Team. The Package contained about 9 2-sided Green & Black custom made jerseys shipped from Austin, TX via USPS.

    Any leads would be helpful.

    When I moved to PNW 20 years ago, this city was clean and so were the highways. There are lots of reasons why they are filthy now, but one reason is that the state broke off using DOC inmates to pick up litter on the highways/verges.

    It has to do with an insurance battle. State reps have been letting the bill to resolve this issue languish for multiple years: http://apps2.leg.wa.gov/billsummary?BillNumber=1227&Year=2017&BillNumber=1227&Year=2017

    I have one bedroom, one bathroom in my house I use as a short term rental. It takes only 20-30 minutes to clean, which includes changing out one beds’ linens, wiping down the bathroom, vacuuming the floor, taking out the garbage. Time is flexible, anything between 11am-3pm. The compensation is $25 per cleaning and I will need someone can start next weekend (on 27th and 28th). It could be a regular work if it goes well.     You are not alone. I often take a left from 100th north onto 35th. The sidewalk on the right side of the road now sticks out several feet further than the left side. This makes it so you have to pull forward into what should be the southbound 35th crosswalk in order to see well enough to safely make the turn. Ironically, they’ve actually made it more dangerous for pedestrians at that intersection! It’s probably only a matter of time before a car strikes a pedestrian at this intersection as they have to pull further forward to see how to turn safely.

    What bothers me also is that Arbor Heights really badly needs sidewalks! Now I feel like a jerk for complaining about the one we just got. :(

    I live on one of the staging corners. There have been multiple accidents since the installation of these massive curbs, mostly from tires hitting the invisible, obtrusive curbs as drivers try to squeeze through these unsafe bottlenecks. One accident I witnessed threw the vehicle into the oncoming lane, directly in front of an SUV full of kids. The SUV was able to swerve into the other lane. A hubcap popped off and shot like a missile down the new “safe route” sidewalk. My neighbor’s car was sideswiped as a result of the narrow lanes.

    As I tried to cross at the NW corner bulb of 35th &102nd this morning, I noticed that parked cars north of the intersection completely block the view of pedestrians trying to cross at this new, “safe” corner. It is now infinitely more dangerous for pedestrians than before this brilliant new design was implemented. At least it’s almost finished, more than two months late at the most conservative estimate.

    Next step is the street tree fiasco. The massive beds originally intended for street trees were planted with lawns instead – the most high maintenance, unsustainable landscape option possible, with maintenance responsibility dumped on adjacent homeowners. The project arborist is instead squeezing some trees into the narrow, sloped strips between the sidewalk and private property lines. Insane. The landscaping company chopped holes in the highly compacted, narrow planting strips on the east side of 35th, and intend to plant red oaks – which is in violation of SDOT’s own street tree policy, which requires a minimum width of 8′ for red oaks, which grow to be massive. Well, if they survive, that is, which is unlikely given the conditions.

    This entire project has been a nightmare of poor planning and execution. It would be interesting to see the actual bill (including time/cost overruns for taxpayers) especially given the fact that many of the dangerous features discussed here will undoubtedly have to be torn out and redone down the road (no pun intended).

    As someone who lives on 39th, it’s really not great having the extra traffic. As you have probably noticed, we don’t have sidewalks on either side of 39th, and unfortunately people aren’t particularly great about driving slowly and carefully around pedestrians.

    I agree. I dread driving down the street now. Going north bound, there is a dog leg in the road so you have to turn towards the on coming lane and it is very narrow. I try to go around this route now, using the old detour route, which the folks on 39th most likely are not happy about. The north bound side has cement then a strip of blacktop on the side which sometimes throws my car off balance. I am waiting for either a bad side swipe or head on crash on this stretch of road. Turning left from 106th to go south on 35th, the sidewalk bulb on the SW side sticks out to far. I have to cross over into over lane to make the turn. I often believe the government policy of having to always take the lowest bid is not always a wise choice.

    Does anyone else find the sidewalk project with road narrowing to be a little awry on 35th, south of Roxbury? Since they installed the new sidewalks between 103rd and 104th down to 106th, 35th Ave SW has been narrowed to an almost unsafe degree. Living off of 104th, I turn onto 35th in both directions quite frequently. The corner bumpouts are now so extreme I have to turn into the other lane of traffic to turn onto 35th, and when cars are turning onto 104th from 35th they almost collide with me, and I only drive a Subaru Outback, so nothing too grand. Am I the only one who finds this ridiculous or are others experiencing difficulty with these interactions?!

    and FYI. I get that you don’t like them but Maxine Walters and Patty Murray aren’t old white men.. not by a stretch.

    as for those sexual misconduct payoffs.. i suspect you aren’t going to hear much about them as long as the representatives who profited from them are in power… If they were perpetrated by mostly democrats as you insinuate we would already have full disclosure… after all the hands controlling the cookie jar are Republican.

    We the people didn’t elect Trump. No really. The Electoral College elected Trump.. and even that took more than a bit of voter disenfranchisement and gerrymandering.

    Sheesh, Mark47n both parties are guilty of overspending. But it took sexual abuser and perjury master Bill Clinton and a Republican Congress to bring down spending. Reagan did not have a Republican Congress and had debt. George Bush unfortunately left spending to Congress and he let debt sail through. And then there is 9 Billion Obama and a stupid Congress. Trump announced expected 5% cuts for the next budget. It’s getting scary. But we the people elected these people. How I wish there were term limits. How I wish Nancy Pelosi, Mitch McConnell, and other career politicians would not have the ability to keep running and winning re-election. All those old white men you complain about are just playing by the rules all others are using. Maxine Waters, Chuck Schumer, Chuck Grassley, Lindsay Graham and Patty Murray certainly aren’t going to retire anytime soon. And still we hear nothing about the sexual misconduct payoffs from our representatives in DC.

    The amendment that allowed Senators to be popularly elected hurt the states. It’s fine when “your person” is in but excruciating when the opposition is in. So be it for now.

    Anonyme thanks for saying that about 104th and 35th. I live at the bottom of 104th, on 31st and I turn down this street regularly. I don’t know who designed those sidewalks, but it has become all but impossible to turn right on 35th heading northing off of 104th if there is a vehicle approaching in the southbound lane. It’s wildly unsafe how narrow they made a VERY heavily traveled road, just think there are two schools within 200 yards of each other on 104th and they narrowed the street so 2 cars care BARELY pass each other. I wouldn’t know the first person to complain about it to or else I would have.

    Cardiff it doesn’t sound like New Native is defending bus drivers, her husband was hit by one at a cross walk then attempted to leave.Its high tide defendinding them. It’s not right that they damage someone’s car then leave. They are required by law to stick around and report it. Otherwise it’s hit and run. I would think parents of children on the bus would appreciate knowing their child’s driver is careless.Afterall the driving is carrying their precious cargo. Shame on those driver, Thank you to the drivers who are responsible, it’s not an easy job.
