It pains me to complain about this local business because in the past I’ve received great service here in the past. I should also say the tech at my house was polite and competent.

I scheduled a lock replacement. The tech arrived as expected. They took my lock apart and had to go back to the shop to get a different replacement unit. They were gone for four and a half hours, their tools on my back steps, my door disassembled. Seems the shop manager sent another tech out to the field and kept the one on my job to run the shop. I asked for a reduction on my bill, the shop manager said they took full responsibility and offered a discount on future work.

When I requested this be applied to the current job, I was denied, told that there’s no guarantee how long a job will take, and was offered only a waived no-show fee for the day before. I’ll have to take their word that the tech showed the day before, but I was home all morning waiting, called the shop repeatedly, and did not get a call back. I schedule a second appointment in good faith because hey, things get tangled. It happens.

All told, the job took maybe 90 minutes, but I was stuck at home between about 1130 and 5pm because in the middle of that, the tech was prevented from leaving the shop to finish my job.

I’m deeply disappointed in how they handled this. “We screwed up, how about we give you a discount on the labor given how much of your time we wasted” would have gone a long way. Instead, they have absolutely lost my future business and I’m here complaining about it to you all. If you have another lock service company in the area to recommend, I’d welcome that because I have additional work to be done and I won’t be using Alki Lock & Key again.

I’ve been looking for a platform that offers transparent gaming conditions, fast withdrawals and secure transactions for a long time. Bella Mente Early Learning in West Seattle is looking for a co-teacher for our Adventure classroom.
Our adventure classroom serves children approximately 2.5 years old. We have a 1:8 ratio with a max of 16 children per day. This is typically where potty training is a main priority throughout their day and we focus on getting children ready to move up to our older preschool classrooms.

This age group uses parallel play as they play alongside their friends and then transition into associative play towards the end of their time in this class. This shift from playing next to your friends versus with your friends takes mastery in a variety of skills. We focus much of our time on awareness on how we are feeling and how others are feeling too. This social emotional foundation sets the tone for the collaborative play of their older peers. On a daily basis we use our play to work on letter and number mastery, sensory exploration, fine motor skills, imaginary play, outside large motor, long term project work, and creative expression through art.

This position will be Monday-Friday 8:30-5:30

We have created an environment where children feel secure and confident and are treated as proficient individuals who are capable of communicating and problem solving and who want to be a part of their own learning.

Our teachers are competent leaders who participate in the overall development of our school. Our classrooms work individually to develop curriculum around the interests, inquiries, and identities of the children and teacher that they serve. We want to bring in teachers who can help us in continuing to grow toward what our intended vision is for our school.

Details: PTO accrued, medical benefits available for 32+ hours per week and paid holidays. Pay DOE. We support working parents in all ways! Please reach out if you are a teacher with young children as well. Another benefit is being able to have your children at our school with you!

If you are a responsible, reflective, collaborative, and compassionate individual, we would love for you to reach out.

A short time ago, I caught someone in the act of dumping their household garbage (a stepladder, dog dishes, cabinet doors, cleaning supplies) next to my driveway. He leaped in his van and sped off as I came out of my gate and yelled at him. I live on a corner, so this dumping business happens with some regularity, unfortunately, meaning I’m constantly either having to either pick up somebody else’s trash, or calling the CSB to report the illegal dumping. They’re pretty good about picking it up, but that’s not the point. It’s rude, irresponsible, and illegal, and I’m sick and tired of it. Scrawny little white dude with long black hair, who drives a maroon/reddish colored van with plates beginning with CHP. Be a man instead of a rodent.

    See https://seattle.craigslist.org/see/fuo/d/seattle-black-natuzzi-benson-sofa-and/7785072036.html for photos

For sale: Black top-grain leather sofa from Italian brand Natuzzi, Benson model, with matching ottoman. Dimensions in receipt picture. Approximately 17″ seat height.

Purchased on sale from Kasala in late 2022. Paid $1999 for the sofa and $599 for the ottoman ($2,598 total not including tax). Original prices before sale were $2500 and $735.

We’ve loved this couch but we’re switching up our style. Both pieces have a few scratches and scuffs from normal wear and tear. The sofa also has a small dent on the back (pictured). Tons of life left! From a smoke-free, fragrance-free, dog-friendly household. There may be a few dog furs on the sofa but we’ll clean it carefully before you pick up.

Fine print: Buyer must pick up (we can’t deliver or load). No returns. Not willing to split. Cash only.

Please ask all questions before arranging sale. Thanks so much for looking!

Anyone else out there having trouble accessing the Bartell (Pharmacy) website?

For 2 days now, I’ve been trying to log in to my pharmacy account, to the Rx dashboard, and trying to cancel a COVID vaccination appointment. I get the spinning wheel or an error message.

Very frustrating and inefficient (having to interupt already too busy workers with phone calls when on-line would avoid this).

I pledge to vote against any Let’s Go Washington initiative. It’s kind of sickening how many people are so short-sighted and self-centered (a polite way of putting it) that they think that cheap gas is more important than preserving life on earth.

Hi, I need help with moving mostly small – med size boxes, a couple of suitcases and two small pieces of furniture from Beach Drive near Lowman Park, to the U haul storage facility on 35 th Ave on Friday, Sept 27. There are some stairs involved, but not as many as most of the neighbors here! If you can make any referrals or are interested in the job please let me know ASAP!

Nope- there is a tag with an inspirational message but no charm or pink bottle opener. If you want to email me a picture of your other key (assuming you do have one) I can see if it’s the same type. But I’m guessing these are not your keys. email is “valvashon@hotmail.com”

Hi, is there a Mario charm (as in the video game) or a worn pink bottle opener on the keychain?
