Ridiculous. Personally, I think drones should be illegal in cities. IMO, if one of those things is in my air space and therefore spying (including for real estate photos that show details of neighbor’s private space without consent) I have the right to remove it from said space.

Would love to see the community come together to advocate for speed bumps on 63rd Ave sw. This is the Main Street used to head to alki and for some reason the only one without speed bumps. It’s entirely residential with kids, pets, bike riders and very be ey active. There are way too many cars racing down this street during the day and especially at night. The speed and the noise of these cars is startling, disruptive and very unsafe. We have emailed the city but have gotten no response. Thank you for any support you can provide!

We are wondering if others are still out. We lost use of our CenturyLink/Lumen voice phones on May 17th. We have had techs out several times and they state it is not a problem in our home. We noted that several on the West Seattle Blog stated that they did get their service back. Just a bit frustrating to have both business and residential voice phones out. Something happened with the purchase by AT&T of CenturyLink/Lumen. We know that CenturyLink/Lumen is still in charge of the residential part. Our box still shows red lights for both phonwa. We do unplug the box to check if fixed from time to time as a tech told us to do.

Posting for a reader: “I would like to report that I found two keys as I was riding my bike at about 11:30 a.m. today. The keys were found on the pavement going uphill near the intersection of Admiral Way SW and 59th Avenue SW. They appear to be keys to post office boxes or lock boxes. Am happy to return them to the owner upon receiving correct answers to questions that only the owner would be able to answer correctly.”

If you have a living situation where you may not have an outdoor space to participate in the big May 9th sale, we have some extra space for one or two extra sellers. Prime location on Avalon -gets people coming and going to the sales from folks outside WS as well as WS residents. Gets good traffic.

We will be selling mainly fun VINTAGE items so if you have the same will get priority. Focused on adult buyers rather than kids’ stuff.

Let us know if you are interested / a little about what you want to sell / what kind of tables etc you may have. It’s full sun on concrete asphalt no shade – so recommend a some type of shade tent.
Need to be willing to start set up early (about 7am) and ready/ set up no later than 8:30 AM.

That sounds like such a lovely idea! Baby wrapping can take a bit of practice, but having others to learn with makes it so much easier and more fun. A relaxed meetup over tea sounds perfect for building confidence and sharing tips. Also, having comfortable nursing-friendly clothes can really help during these moments—some moms mention looking into Momcozy Coupons Codes when setting up their essentials. Hope you get a great group together!

My partner lost their keys somewhere on the paved trail parallel to Harbor Ave today (4.27)
It’s 10-15 keys, pink carabiner, and a green keychain that reads “made in russia recycled in Ukraine” on one side and “Battle for Kyiv” on the other.

Maybe, just maybe, the people who were ahead of you had urgent needs as well. Just because you didn’t get the attention you felt you deserved doesn’t warrant disparaging healthcare workers who are likely working very hard to care for as many people as they can. If needed in the future there is an urgent care in Burien next to CVS 160th and 1st Ave. S. Large free parking area. Probably not as busy as downtown.

Don’t waste your time going to MultiCare Indigo Urgent Care – West Seattle if you need “urgent” care. Bleeding with a big sliver in my hand, I was told I was told they were “running behind” & that I would be behind previously scheduled “appointments”. Another facility in the area had already closed for the day. I wound up driving myself downtown to an ER. What a waste of resources.

I have on queen platform bed frame, two sets of wood slats, and a pier one cherry colored wood headboard. They are in my garage and free to anyone who wants to take them away. The frame can be disassembled. The headboard would need a truck.

SDOT has a list of approved arborists for this work. You might also contact Jim LeBlanc, SDOT arborist for West Seattle, as he should probably look at the trees first and also make a recommendation for replacement. If you’re hoping to turn the planting strip (official term) into a “parking strip” that is not allowed. Jim’s number is 206-684-4134. Thank you for following proper procedure; I see far too many street (and other) trees either removed illegally or butchered by well-meaning (?) or untrained homeowners.
