I have a Merlin app that can identify birds by their call. A few days ago it picked up on an American Barn Owl. I googled and found that someone had a sighting in Schmitz park in 2020. I also see a comment in forum about an 8 year old getting scratched in Lincoln Park.
It was in the morning when my app heard it. I do feed the birds so, I have a lot of birds and squirrels.
I guess the Barn owl eat small rodents but also can die if people try to exterminate rats with poison.I live down by Delridge on Brandon and feed the birds. Kind of curious if others have seen one. Thanks. JRH

Has anyone else been hearing a low frequency hum in the Alaskan Junction area? I made a post on Reddit but didn’t get too many responses. However, I did feel validated that I am not the only one hearing something. Someone mentioned that it is the ‘West Seattle Hum’. I am relatively new to the area. Can someone please explain to me what that is and who I can potentially contact? It keeps waking up me and my infant son at all sorts of weird hours in the night and it just keeps going into the day. You can feel the vibration.
