The Hope Factory open house

February 6, 2021 @ 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
5 S. Nevada St

See the tiny-house-building operation that got its start at Camp Second Chance in West Seattle:

For the past four years, Sound Foundations NW ( has been doing just that. We build transitional tiny homes for the Low Income Housing Institute (LIHI)’s tiny house villages. Last October, Sound Foundations NW and LIHI formed a special partnership to build tiny transitional homes in a SODO warehouse assembly-line style. To the best of our knowledge, we are the only organization in the United States that builds transitional tiny homes start-to-finish this way. We have been ramping up for the past two months and are nearly at full capacity. Our goal is to build 1-2 tiny homes EVERY DAY. We would like to show you how we do it.

Sound Foundations NW will be having an “Open Home” Saturday, February 6 from 10 am until 4 pm at our new location called The Hope Factory. We are located at 5 S. Nevada St., Seattle WA 98134. Here is a link for directions:,+Seattle,+WA+98134/@47.565428,-122.3451057,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m5!3m4!1s0x549041cac1c6c03f:0xe7d7247f14b76457!8m2!3d47.565428!4d-122.342917

LIHI occupies the other half of our warehouse space and will be sharing our Open Home with us. We will have homes in various stages of completion and will be giving hands-on demonstrations as well as tours of the facility.

Sound Foundations NW and LIHI are at the forefront of getting homeless folks off the streets and into a space that is warm, safe, dry and with Covid, healthy. Attached you will find a .pdf with more information on the program as well as photos of our new space.
