It’s Shred Day at the High Point Library Sunday, Apr. 19, 2015, 1–4 pm:

Bring your old financial documents to a public shred event at the Library and have them shredded on the spot!

Do you have old bank statements, bills, credit card statements, or any other documents with your personal information on them? Don’t let them fall into the wrong hands — protect yourself from identity theft and dispose of them safely during a public shred event at the Library! (Please limit yourself to 5 or fewer copy paper size boxes (15″X12″X10″) of shred-able material.)

Are you unsure about how long to keep financial documents? Have a look at this article published by the U.S. government on Managing Household Records.

Help us celebrate Money Smart Week, protect yourself from identity theft, and safely dispose of your documents — all by coming to the Library for our public shred events!

Library events and programs are free and everyone is welcome. Registration is not required.

This event is presented in partnership with Confidential Data Disposal.
