“Those Who Helped Us”: Solidarity Across Communities Past, Present, and Future

February 19 marks the 81st anniversary of President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s signing of Executive Order 9066, which ordered the forced removal and incarceration of over 120,000 Japanese Americans during World War II. This year, we welcome author Ken Mochizuki and illustrator Kiki Hughes, as they discuss their book “Those Who Helped Us,” which tells the stories of the communities that helped Japanese Americans in their time of need.
