At the Southwest Library, Quirky physicist Professor Phineas T. Ficklestein can’t wait to show off his factory’s wacky experiments, kooky creations and goofy gadgets! For ages 4-12.

Professor Finkelstein is back and has gathered an entire new crop of experiments and demonstrations, this time focusing on Potential Energy, Kinetic Energy, Air Pressure, Compressed Air, Sound Energy and more. During the course of the program, “The Professor” will demonstrate these Physics concepts utilizing physical comedy, mime, music, magic, hilarious sound effects and lots of audience participation.

This program is part of this year’s Summer of Learning program Splash! Adventures with Water, which encourages reading and activities around science, technology, technology, arts and math. We are offering over 250 free youth programs throughout the city this summer. You can pick up a Summer Action Guide at any Library location.

Library events and programs are free and everyone is welcome. Registration is not required.

Space is limited at library events. Please come early to make sure you get a seat. Due to the fire code, we can’t exceed the maximum capacity for our rooms.
