34th DEMS HOST PANEL OF SEATTLE NON-VIOLENT RESISTANCE LEADERS

WHAT: The 34th Legislative District Democrats are hosting a panel of leaders from five Seattle non-violent resistance organizations for a lively discussion about what non-violent resistance can look like in Seattle and how we win.

WHO: The panel will be moderated by Erica C. Barnett of Publicola and the Seattle Nice Podcast. Panelists will include:

Binh Truong, GM of fieldwork, Common Power

Emily Gaggia, adopt-a-corner campaign director, NDLON

Laurie Reinhardt, co-leader, West Seattle Indivisible

Devin Hermanson, founder, Defund Musk

Kenny Austin, chair, 34th Legislative District Democrats’ Non-Violent Resistance Committee

WHEN: 6-7 pm, March 11. Doors open at 5:45 pm.

WHY: ICE and Border Patrol surges in cities like Los Angeles, Boston, Washington D.C., Chicago, and Minneapolis have resulted in the deaths, injuries, and detentions of immigrants and citizens alike. How long until they come here? Panelists will highlight some of the different ways Seattleites can organize and get involved to protect their communities, liberties, and democracy.
