JEFF PLANKENHORN

– aka “Plank” – is a world-class songwriter who after 16 years serving as accompanist and first-call session musician to Texas’ biggest musical stars (Joe Ely, Ruthie Foster, Ray Wylie Hubbard, etc.) decided to go solo with his SoulSlide album.

A virtuoso multi-instrumentalist whose signature-designed lap-steel “The Plank” landed him an Austin Music Award in 2017, Jeff Plankenhorn was a Black Fret major grant recipient in 2018, and his continuous hard work has paid off with an ever-growing fanbase he’s built at festivals and venues across Canada & the U.S., touring his second full-length album Sleeping Dogs, which features Patty Griffin and Ray Wylie Hubbard. His current releases are a pair of EPs: Covered/Uncovered Vols. I and II.
