West Seattle Faith Community to Host an Introductory Training on Transformative Justice: Caring ways to engage with community relationship, conflict and trust-building
The Westside Unitarian Universalist Congregation is sponsoring for the wider West Seattle community a day-long training on restorative methods for building resilient compassionate community/relationships, deepening trust, and transforming conflict. The training is Saturday, September 28 at their meeting place on 7141 California Avenue SW in West Seattle.
Facilitated by A Center for Restorative Solutions, the session will introduce an approach called Restorative Practice – a method tested and confirmed for decades across generations and cultures all over the world. It teaches how to strengthen relationships, instill belonging, and build trust across teams, workplaces, and families.
“This past year, this learning has been crucial to our process of community culture change,” said Carter Smith, Minister, Westside Unitarian Universalist Congregation. “We look forward to sharing this work with more of our West Seattle neighbors, so they can be part of building beloved community, too.”
The session is from 9am to 5pm on Saturday, September 28, at Westside Unitarian Universalist Congregation, 7141 California Avenue SW, West Seattle.
