WHAT: This will be an opportunity for community to review, clarify issues brought up during the last Roundtable, and discuss the current phase of the cleanup process to better understand the context of the suggested Roundtable topics. There will also be a review of all Superfund Cleanup actions to date.

WHEN: Monday, October 21, 5-7 pm.

WHERE: South Park Community Center

WHO: All affected and/or interested community

INFO: The Roundtable is a group convened by the Environmental Protection Agency to determine how the Record of Decision (ROD), i.e., the Superfund Cleanup, will be carried out. There is a seat at the Roundtable for all involved individuals, organizations, departments, etc. DRCC is the community’s representative. In order to serve as representative, DRCC hosts pre- and post-Roundtable meetings for every Roundtable meeting to exchange information with community members. These meetings offer child care, refreshments, and interpretation. The agenda is as follows:

1) Why our voice matters in the cleanup process. Why and how to make comments

2) Duwamish Superfund Clean-up history/process

3) Remedial Design and Pre-design Investigation

4) Operating procedures

5) Review what was done before the Roundtable started
