The 7th ever Couch Fest Film Festival returns on Saturday, December 6 to its home town of Seattle, while also presenting events on the same day around the world. It’s the world’s largest short film festival, hailed by MovieMaker Magazine as one of the “top 5 coolest short film festivals in the world.”

Couch Fest Films is a traveling festival of sorts: moviegoers enjoy films shown in Seattle residents’ living rooms, offices…even boats! Neighborhoods with festival locations include Capitol Hill, Greenlake, Columbia City, Madison Park, Wallingford and three locations in West Seattle.


The festival includes over 45 short films, presented in 6 programs throughout the day, beginning on the hour at 1 pm through 6 pm. Sort of like a pub crawl, but for movie watching, attendees can go to as many of the 18 host homes as they’d like, all for one $10 ticket (available online in advance or at the first location they attend).

The exact host locations will be announced on the festival website (www.couchfestfilms.com) several days in advance of the event. The website will also include maps, driving directions, parking information and transit options for each home.

Admission to the entire event–including the after party–is just $10, paid at the door of the first home each festivalgoer attends. Tickets can also be purchased online from couchfestfilms.com.
