On Friday April 27th, we’re having a family focused college and career event. There will be a resource fair with community colleges and summer opportunities, as well as workshops for parents, youth and dinner for all.

Thanks.

When: April 27th 4:30pm- 7pm

The goal of this event is to educate youth and parents about what it takes to enter post-secondary education. The event’s focus will be on building a vocabulary around college, graduation requirements and involvement in afterschool and extracurricular activities. We will also provide age appropriate activities and resources for upper-elementary, middle school and high school aged youth. This event is a collaboration between the YELS (Youth Empowered with Leadership Strengths), Project Promise, and the Family Center at Neighborhood House, a partnership that we hope will result in strengthening our ability to empower entire families.
