Building Understanding: the East Waterway Feasibility Study

Meeting Purpose

Next year, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency will propose a
cleanup plan for the contaminated sediments in the East Waterway
portion of the Harbor Island Superfund Site. We will be conducting a
series of meetings to help community members understand the scientific
and technical work that has been completed so far so that they can
provide input on the proposed cleanup plan when it is released.

The first meeting will focus on the Feasibility Study for East
Waterway, which is an analysis of possible cleanup methods and
alternatives. We will also discuss our future outreach and engagement
plans at the meeting.
