Despite the devastating lodge fire last November, Seattle Parks is going ahead with one of Camp Long‘s biggest events of the year – Mountain Fest, set for this Saturday! They asked us to share the poster with you:
The daylong festival is meant as a celebration of the park’s famous climbing rock and rope course, among other things. As for the lodge fire, permits for repairs and renovation continue proceeding through the city system..
Has there been a detailed update of what’s going on there since the fire? I do read the blog almost every day, but I could’ve missed it.

Let us know if you have/find a source for more detailed info about Mountain Fest – activities open, the schedule for the day, or age it’s tailored to attract, etc. Thank you!
I asked them immediately for more info and have not heard back. I was in a spot where circumstances demanded something quick so I decided to publish it anyway. It’s usually free access to the features I mentioned -climbing rock and rope course – plus some other family-friendly activities.
The Seattle Parks and Rec Facebook page has an event and additional info: rock climbing, the challenge course, nature walks, falconry, and more! Come support the park!
